It’s quite simple, really. We have to like the places we list. This includes the quality of the product or service and has to be a place that not only we have liked, but we’ve also heard our friends talk about. Basically, these places should be so good that it won’t be hard to make it through another pandemic.

That’s a great question. Normally, we only write about places we choose of our own accord. That said, every once in a while we can be convinced to check out a place that we otherwise would probably never visit either because of location, horrible branding, or one-too-many horror stories. But hey, we’ll try anything once, but it has to be twice to make the list.

Because in a world of fair-to-partly-cloudy endorsements and manipulated reviews, we’re only going to list the places that would be 4.5 or higher on those scales. We feel like the good places, heck the great places, should actually stand out and get a little more love. And we’re not building this site for anyone else, but ourselves.
