This place must be busy on VGK game nights.
I first tried The Crack Shack in Salt Lake City at their opening in December 2021. To be honest, they weren’t really selling their signature sandwiches, but I met the founders and they explained how their chicken is different. Sounded a little bit like salesmanship to me, but because they were working with a close friend, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I took some cool photos with friends and met Britain Covey, superstar return man for the Utah Utes. All in all, a good night for the IG.
Upon returning to Vegas, I told many friends about The Crack Shack and how much I wanted to check it out. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get anyone to try this place out. While the chicken sandwich might be great, how much better can it really be than Chick Fil A? Alas, nobody would travel to Park MGM to try it out with me until Saturday, June 11. Now, let me be clear. I came into this tasting with high expectations and a big appetite, so I had every reason to be let down and walk out of this place disappointed. Instead, I found myself loving the sandwich I chose (Senor Croque) and commenting on how soft the bread was that came with the sandwich. The quality of the chicken was exactly what the founders described (pleasantly surprised) and the flavor profile was perfect.
If you’re on The Strip and you’re looking for a great chicken sandwich, definitely make your way down to Park MGM and walk into The Crack Shack. You won’t be disappointed with the food. No guarantees on the waiting lines or seating, however.
